Christmas Handicap
- Sherdley Park : 30th December
The
Christmas handicap finally went ahead on Sunday and surprisingly the course
wasn't too bad. It was a change from recent routes to avoid the
worst spots and ran really well, a little too well for some as they switched
onto the road wherever possible!
The ‘Junior’ race (which also included novice adults) was won by Jack
Lowrie and first girl was Elizabeth Griffiths. The ‘Senior’ race
which included U17’s was won by William Griffiths and Rachel
McGoldrick.

L&D Senior's Cross Country League, Match 3 : Stadt Moers, 8th December
Not
too many Sutton athletes made the start line of this local race, which offered
heavy going after the recent heavy rains. First back with an excellent run was
Greg Williams (8th, 35:19), finding his old form and running really well
this year. Alan McNally (42:32) and Pete Johnson (46:25) completed
the men's finishers with Louise Hogg (52:59)
our final senior, just making up a scoring team.

Athletes
Please
note that we are not taking any more Under 16 athletes in to the club unless
they have been referred by a school or coach. Please don’t bring friends etc
down as we hate disappointing them on training nights. Chris Causer is operating
a waiting list.
