Young Athletes Club Championships: Change of Date

Following representation from numerous members because of the holiday period the above championships have been postponed and will now be held in the final week of August or first week in September. The same conditions apply.

Annual General Meeting : 6 September.

The Annual General Meeting of the club will be held at the Bull & Dog Hotel on Monday 6 September. The meeting will start promptly at 7.30.p.m. If any members have matters they wish to raise at the AGM, or nominations for the Committee, could they please advise Julia Hayes as soon as possible.

John Orrell Mile : 12 August

The John Orrell Handicap mile will be held at 7.30.p.m. on Thursday 12 August. The race is open to athletes, male and female, over the age of 15. The handicapper is Ian White.   

Young Athletes Club Championships: 

Club championships for young athletes will be held on the evenings of Tuesday 10 August and Thursday 12 August. The championships will consist of a sprint, an 800 metres run, a long jump & a shot putt. The winner will be decided on a points system which is currently in the process of being refined. All participating athletes will receive a medal.
