Condolences:
The club offers its sincere condolences to the
Mullineux family on the loss, after a long illness, of Mrs
Mullineux, wife to George and mother to Natalie and her
sisters. The funeral will take place at St Helens Crematorium on Tuesday 2 May
at 10.a.m. All donations please to Willowbrook Hospice.
James Farghar:
We're sorry to report that James, who made a major impact by winning the county
cross country championships in his debut for the club, has broken his leg and
will be out of competition until the start of next season. James was playing a
kick about game of soccer when the injury occurred. We send him the club's best
wishes for a speedy recovery.
Merseyside County Committee:
Julia Hayes was re-elected Secretary to the
Merseyside County Committee and club members Paul Davenport, Dennis Fulton
and Phil Thomas (much to his own surprise!) were elected to the Committee as
a whole. Ray Vose remains as a team manager. Many thanks to Ray &
Phil for attending the meeting on the club's behalf.
It's amazing!!
Just what you find on a training night when everyone's gone home. In recent
weeks we have located a pair of spikes in a bag, a stopwatch and a set of house
keys. So if you meet a barefooted athlete standing outside their house and (s)he
asks what the time is, please let us know. We might be able to help!!
Communications:
The club's main lines of communication are by paper
notices to individuals and the use of the notice board at the clubhouse. In
order to speed up communications & reduce the cost of postage (which has just
risen again) anyone wishing to receive notices (including team selections and
directions) by e-mail can do so by providing Phil Thomas with their
e-mail address. Please note: for young athletes the e-mail address
must be that of their parents, unless written permission to the
contrary is provided.
